Before you arrive for surgery, it’s imperative that you stock your house with healthy foods and your new vitamin regimen. For your the majority of your life, your body has probably had a hard time absorbing vitamins, especially B1 and B12. If you’re a female patient, your body has had an even tougher time absorbing vitamin D. The purpose of these post-surgery supplements is to keep your body in a normal range when it comes to vitamins. The supplements will make it easier for your body to absorb those vitamins.
When it comes to supplements, you have a variety of options. For B12, you can take a tablet once a day, an inhaler once a week, or an injection once a month. These vitamins aren’t meant to bog you down or interfere with your life in any way. They are simply supplements and can work into your daily life however they best fit. You will be taking these vitamins every day for the rest of your life in order for your body to maintain a normal range.
